Thank you ski team! :)

Thanks to everyone for being ready and patient during this pretty hectic race.
The day was not in our favor but with everyones help you were able to pull it off and get some "race training". Now you know what not to do before a race, show up 10 minutes before the start.

Sometimes this happens and you just have to go with the flow and do as well as you can. We can look forward to the next race Monday.

Thanks to the wax wizzards, Doug, Mel and Spencer for doing a great and speedy job waxing skis in 10 minutes. I was very impressed with everyone's skiing today. Once you got out on course and your nerves settled everyone was skiing better. Strating a race without being nervous takes practice.

Over the next 3 weeks we will up the intensity of your training, to build endurance and strength.
It will be important to ski on days we do not have practice. Go out for a good 1 to 2 hour skis with pickups when there is no practice.

No practice Thursday - Ski on your own
Classic practice Friday - 2:45 bus to Pineland
Classic practice Saturday - no bus meet at Pineland
No practice Sunday - ski on your own
5k Classic race Monday - Fryeburg 8:00 bus, 10:30 race

I know you have midterms next week, those are a priority so let me know if you need to study and have to miss practice, but missing practice means you have to make up the training on your own at another time.
